HPC Spring 2025 Move-In

HPC Spring 2025 Move-In

Holly Pointe Commons- Spring 2025 Semester Move-In Weekend

Summary of Timeline:

  1. Deadline to sign up or change your arrival date/time window: January 17th
  2. HPC move-in days: Saturday, January 18th – Sunday, January 19th (See below for more details)
  3. Spring semester classes begin: Tuesday, January 21st.

Process Details:

  • To accommodate the return of the large Holly Pointe Commons population for the Spring semester, the move-in process has been spread over 2 days, beginning with Saturday, January 18th and ending on Sunday, January 19th.
  • While this is the same timeline as all other residential buildings, Holly Pointe Commons’ residents are required to select a specific date and window of time on which to arrive to the HPC parking lot (see Arrival Time Selection Process below).
  • There are morning and afternoon blocks available on both Saturday and Sunday. The purpose of requiring HPC residents to select an available arrival window is to help spread out the arrival of the large population.
  • Students may also arrive on Monday, January 20th, which is a holiday, but there will be fewer staffing resources around to facilitate check-in processes for new residents and cart distribution.
  • Classes for the Spring semester begin on January 21st.

Arrival Time Selection Process:

The arrival time windows each day are from 9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM.  Once the maximum number of slots are filled for a particular arrival time window, it will be closed and you will not be able to select it. Here are the instructions to select an arrival date and time for Holly Pointe Commons’ residents:

  • Log into MyHousing
  • Scroll down to the “Assignments” section
  • Click the “Spring 2025” tab (if applicable)
  • Under the “Spring 25 Holly Pointe Move In” option, click the drop down and select your time block.
  • Click the “Update My Time” button to secure that time slot.

If you have any questions about the move in process for Holly Pointe Commons, please contact us at housingquestions@rowan.edu

New Holly Pointe Residents:

Residents new to Holly Pointe Commons will be directed to the front desk on the ground floor of E-Pod to first check-in with staff before continuing your move-in process. Your vaccination status will be verified and you will be shown how to use your É«ÀÇÉçÇø ID to access the front doors and your bedroom door. If our records do not indicate you are in compliance with É«ÀÇÉçÇø's vaccination policy or have an account hold for any reason, you will not be permitted to move in.

If new residents do not have a É«ÀÇÉçÇø ID yet, a temporary loaner card will be issued for the purpose of temporary door access. However, students must get a É«ÀÇÉçÇø ID printed and return the temporary loaner card by Tuesday, January 21st.

 **Vaccination requirement**

All students must be compliant with the Meningococcal (Meningitis) É«ÀÇÉçÇø vaccination requirement. You will not be allowed to move into housing if you have not submitted appropriate vaccine documentation. Our staff will attempt to contact students who are not in compliance with this mandate. However, it is your responsibility to ensure all immunization forms are submitted to the Wellness Center in advance of your move-in date. Housing staff cannot accept medical documentation for vaccines on the date of arrival.

Parking for Move-in:

The Holly Pointe Commons parking lot can only accommodate approximately 65 vehicles. To prevent overcrowding, arrival time windows have been established to stagger vehicle arrivals throughout the day. Public Safety Officers will monitor the parking lot entrance and redirect vehicles to alternative parking areas further from the complex if the lot reaches full capacity.

Please note that while selecting an arrival time helps manage traffic flow, it does not guarantee a parking space in the Holly Pointe Commons lot. However, following these guidelines significantly increases the likelihood of finding a spot for the purpose of moving into the residence.

Unloading and Moving of Vehicles:

Upon arrival, residents will be greeted by staff and instructed where to begin their process. A driver should remain with the vehicle and remove it from the lot as soon as the vehicle has been unloaded, to allow for other resident arrivals. Carts will be provided for residents to use from the Holly Pointe parking lot.

Once your vehicle is unloaded, it cannot remain in the Holly Pointe parking lot, and must be moved immediately. That area is an unloading zone for move-in purposes only. If you are intending to remain on campus or the surrounding area, the closest parking is available on the upper floors of the parking garage across the street from Holly Pointe Commons, near the Courtyard Marriott or a secondary parking garage on Mick Drive, which is about a block further away.
