We are excited to have you join our University community. Orientation provides you with the information you need to make the most of your É«ÀÇÉçÇø experience.
New Student Orientation (for all spring term admits):

Reserve Your Orientation Date
All new undergraduate students (all first year and transfer students) are . If you previously attended a É«ÀÇÉçÇø orientation program, you are not required to attend orientation, but are encouraged to do so to learn about any policies that may have changed or new resources available to you.
Here's what you will experience at orientation:
- Academic Success workshop and a brief overview of General Education and other graduation requirements;
- academic advising;
- opportunities to hear from onboarding offices and departments in order to assist you complete items on your new student checklist;
- opportunities to connect with other students and with your orientation leaders (the PROS);
- an introduction to É«ÀÇÉçÇø student services and involvement opportunities.
Students must in advance. We utilize the for orientation reservations. Sessions will close when maximum capacities are reached.
Parent & Family Orientation
An optional Parent & Family Orientation program is held concurrently with New Student Orientation, but students and their parents & adult family members will follow separate orientation schedules. You can register parents & adult family members when completing your orientation reservation.
Inclement Weather Plan
Orientation will be held as long as É«ÀÇÉçÇø remains open. Please check the É«ÀÇÉçÇø website and sign-up for É«ÀÇÉçÇø Alert to be notified about university closings in case of inclement weather. Instructions can be found here: /publicsafety/emergencyservices/officeofemergency/weather.
Prepare for New Student Orientation
- Set up your NetID and DUO. If you haven't already done so, visit , click the "Other Login" button to set up your NetID for the first time. .
- Stay up to date using your New Student Checklist. Log in to your Admissions to view your personalized checklist and complete important tasks to transfer to É«ÀÇÉçÇø.
- Confirm your major. You are eligible for academic advising for the major in which you were offered admission to É«ÀÇÉçÇø. This major is listed in your admissions materials. If you would like to change your major, please email transferhelp@rowan.edu with your name, Banner ID number, and desired major.
- Reserve your orientation date. Dates with space available will be shown in the . Orientation registration is connected to your Admissions Status Portal, and uses the same login information. Make sure to login using your personal email address and password, not with your É«ÀÇÉçÇø NetID. Please reserve your orientation date as soon as possible for best selection of dates as sessions do fill up.
- Meet with your academic advisor and register for spring term classes. Transfer students are able to register for classes prior to their orientation program. Review Registration Information to prepare for your appointment. Then, go to the Advising Directory to find your advisor. All advisors are listed by college, and then by major. Once you find your advisor's contact information, you can schedule an appointment to meet with them.
- Attend orientation! After orientation, continue working on any remaining items and Online Education Requirements.
- Get ready for Winter Welcome Week. É«ÀÇÉçÇø has a tradition of welcoming all students back to campus at the start of each semester. During Winter Welcome Week, you will find programs and activities to give you a taste of campus life and connect with current student leaders.
