Commencement is a time to celebrate your hard work, perseverance, and incredible achievements. This milestone marks the culmination of your journey at É«ÀÇÉçÇø and the beginning of exciting new opportunities ahead.
As you prepare for your big day, we’re here to ensure you have all the information you need—from ceremony details to regalia, tickets, and more. We can’t wait to celebrate this moment with you and honor all that you have accomplished. Congratulations, Class of 2025!

How do I register to attend commencement?
How to register to participate in Commencement:
Registration for May 2025 Commencement Ceremonies opens February 1, 2025 at noon.
- Visit or Self Service Banner>Student tab >Commencement Attendance Confirmation
- Log-in with É«ÀÇÉçÇø credentials and duo security to access the Marching Order graduate homepage. On the homepage you will see each ceremony you are eligible to participate in.
- Complete a registration form for each ceremony you wish to attend. NOTE: Completing for one does not register you for all ceremonies.
- Be certain to select the number of guest tickets you would like to claim from the drop down in the ticket section of the registration form.
- VERIFY ALL INFORMATION!
- Name, degree, phonetic spelling of name, post-commencement contact information.
- After registration, select “access guest tickets” and email guests their tickets directly or download and print.
- Don’t forget to share all your ceremony information with your friends & family.
You will be prompted for your É«ÀÇÉçÇøNetID. Once logged in, you will be redirected to the Tassel registration system.
- All ceremonies are ticketed events.
- Don’t delay! Tickets must be secured by April 3, 2025.
- After the deadline undeclared tickets (if any) will be available through a first come, first served distribution of tickets.
Guest Tickets
Do my guests need tickets? How do I get tickets?
All guests are required to have a ticket. Graduates are responsible for providing the correct ticket to each of their guests. Priority guests should receive the all-weather tickets to ensure access to the stadium and in case of severe weather, Esbjornson Gymnasium.
- All-Weather Tickets: These grant access to both Richard Wackar Stadium and, in the event of severe weather, Esbjornson Gymnasium. Graduates should provide these tickets to their priority guests to ensure access to either venue.
- Stadium-Only Tickets: These are valid exclusively for Richard Wackar Stadium and cannot be used for entry into Esbjornson Gymnasium during severe weather conditions.

Caps & Gowns
How do I get my cap and gown?
É«ÀÇÉçÇø’s custom brown and gold regalia is required for all graduates to wear at their ceremony. The regalia is available for purchase at the É«ÀÇÉçÇø Blvd. Barnes & Noble store beginning March 31. Sizes will not be guaranteed after April 17. For regalia information, please click here or email capandgown@rowan.edu.

What time do I arrive for my ceremony? Where do I go?
Graduates should come dressed in their regalia to all ceremonies.
- É«ÀÇÉçÇø Commencement Ceremony & Celebration, Saturday, May 10 - Graduates must check-in by 9:00am in Lot O-1. Wackar Stadium gates open at 8:30 a.m.
- College Ceremonies, Monday, May 12 – Thursday, May 15 - Graduates should arrive 45 minutes prior to the ceremony start time in Lot O. Wackar Stadium gates will open 45 minutes prior to each ceremony start time.
- The School of Graduate Studies Hooding Ceremony, Friday, May 9 - Graduates and guests should arrive at 2:15 p.m. Graduates meet in the Recreation Center gym (enter through the Rec Center). The guest entrance also opens at 2:15 p.m. and is located North Campus Drive between Esbjornson Gymnasium and Recreation Center
- Cooper Medical School of É«ÀÇÉçÇø, Thursday, May 15 - Graduate check-in will begin at 4:15 p.m. in the Recreation Center gym (enter through the Rec Center doors). The guest entrance also opens at 4:15 p.m. and is located on North Campus Drive between Esbjornson Gymnasium and Recreation Center.

The School of Graduate Studies Hooding Ceremony & Reception
- Complimentary parking is available at Lot B, Lot C, Lot D, Edgewood & Chestnut.
É«ÀÇÉçÇø Commencement Ceremony & Celebration
- Complimentary parking is available in Lots A, A-1, B, B-1, C, D, Edgewood Apartments, and Chestnut Hall. A shuttle / golf cart transport will continuously loop through each of these lots and the Marriott Hotel to the ceremony drop off location at Lot C.
- The following lots will be available for complimentary parking without shuttle or golf cart service: Townhouse Parking Garage, Parking Lots Chestnut-1, D-1, D-2, F, F-1, G, H, H-1, J, P, R, S, U, Y, and Z-1.
College Ceremonies in Wackar Stadium
- Complimentary parking is available in Lots A, A-1, B, B-1, C, D, D-1, D-2, Edgewood Apartments, and Chestnut Hall. A shuttle / golf cart transport will continuously loop through each of these lots and the Marriott Hotel to the ceremony drop off location at Lot C.
- The following lots will be available for complimentary parking without shuttle or golf cart service: Townhouse Parking Garage, Parking Lots Chestnut-1, F, F-1, G, J, R, Y, and Z-1. *Please note that the following lots will not have a shuttle / golf cart transport in the case of severe weather: A, A-1, B, B-1.
Cooper Medical School of É«ÀÇÉçÇø
- Complimentary parking is available at Lot B, Lot C, Lot D, Edgewood & Chestnut. Shuttles will continuously loop from the parking lots and the Glassboro Marriott to ceremony locations.
Crossing the Stage
Can I bring others or personal items when I cross the stage?
Commencement is a time for celebration in honor of the achievements of each of our graduates. In order to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to be formally recognized by their É«ÀÇÉçÇø community, friends, and families, we require that graduates refrain from bringing additional parties with them as they walk across the stage to receive their diploma folder (i.e., no children, babies, or other loved ones; no pets). If you require the assistance of a personal attendant or service animal in walking across the stage, please email commencement@rowan.edu in advance of commencement.
Graduates should refrain from carrying cell phones or other electronic devices across the stage. The use of personal drones is likewise prohibited during commencement. We look forward to celebrating with our graduates!
Is there a rehearsal for commencement?
There will be no rehearsal for commencement. Staff will be available to guide you through each step the day of your ceremony, including check-in, lineup, and stage crossing. Medical schools may choose to hold a rehearsal. If applicable, they will contact their graduates directly with further details.

What is the difference between Graduation & Commencement?
What is the difference between Graduation & Commencement?
Graduation is the successful completion of all major/minor/concentration requirements AND the awarding of a degree. Students can graduate four times a year -- May, August,December and January. Students must complete the online Graduation Application in order to be reviewed. Students apply online through Self Service Banner, under the Student Menu, by clicking on the "Apply to Graduate" link. If there are any issues while filling out the application, please e-mail Graduation@rowan.edu. Graduation application deadlines and instructions are available on the .
Commencement is the voluntary celebration that occurs once a year (typically in May). Participation in the Commencement ceremony is not required and does not guarantee the awarding of a degree.
Students receiving solely a certification without an undergraduate degree DO NOT participate in Commencement.
How will I receive my diploma?

Yearbook Registration & Pick-Up
The Image Yearbook club is proud to offer graduating seniors the opportunity to receive a free 2025 É«ÀÇÉçÇø yearbook after the University Commencement ceremony on May 10. Students who can pick up their yearbook during the Commencement Celebration along North Campus Drive. For students not attending the University Commencement ceremony, yearbooks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis throughout Commencement Week (May 12-15) at the Chamberlain Student Center Information Desk from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
