Academic Year 2022-23

  • Newly elected senators will serve a two-year term beginning July 1, 2022
  • Senate terms expire (alternately) on June 30th of each year

Department Senators: 

  • Week of January 9 - Senators and Department Chairs are notified of expiring terms 
  • Week of February 20 - Election results of department Senate representatives are due in the Senate office

Professional Staff:

(Eligible to vote: all professional staff are in the unit, all coaches and library staff that are considered Professional Staff employees) 
  • Week of January 16 - Professional Staff members are notified of expiring terms 
  • Week of February 20 - The call for nominations are sent to Professional Staff 
  • February 27 -  Nominations due in Senate office
  • Week of March 6 - Ballots sent out
  • March 17-  Ballots due in Senate office on or before noon

Senator-at-Large:

(Eligible to vote: full-time faculty, ¾ time faculty, temporary faculty, Athletics Department members and Library staff considered as part of separate departments and holding elections the same as faculty)

  • Week of February 13 - Senators-at-Large are notified of expiring terms
  • Week of March 27 - The call for nominations are sent to faculty and professional staff
  • April 7 - Nominations due in Senate office
  • Week of April 10 - At-Large ballots sent out
  • April 21 - At-Large ballots due in Senate office
