General Registration Information
All course registrations take place online, via , during appropriate registration periods for each term. Please see below for more important details about registration.Registration Overrides
If you receive a capacity/closed course error message when trying to register and there is a waitlist available in Banner, please add yourself to the waitlist in the Banner registration screen and follow up with your advisor if you have any questions. If you receive any other error while attempting to register (pre-requisite, repeat, etc.) or no waitlist is available in Banner, please consult with the in which the course is housed. Only the department and professors are able to provide most overrides. If you are granted a waiver by the academic department or professor, they will enter an override into Banner, and you will receive an email to let you know you should try again to register for the course.
Part of Term
“Part of Term” is the 5th column in the and it shows the start and end dates of the session in which the course is placed. These dates determine your registration-related deadlines for the course as well as the date student attendance verifications and grades are due from your instructors. If you plan to make changes to your registration (adds, drops, withdrawals) you must do so within the appropriate deadlines, based on the course's part of term.
Registration Open Dates
- Fall: usually in March (opens according to student level and classification)
- Winter: usually in October (opens for all students at one time)
- Spring: usually in October (opens according to student level and classification)
- Summer: usually in February (opens for all students at one time)

Online courses will be listed as “online” in the “campus” column in the . Only 100% online courses are given that label, and if they are, they will be offered through the Canvas Learning Management System through É«ÀÇÉçÇø Global.
