How do I schedule tutoring appointments?

Is tutoring a FREE service?
There is no charge for tutoring for undergraduate É«ÀÇÉçÇø students.
How many tutoring sessions can I have in one day?
All undergraduate É«ÀÇÉçÇø students are allowed to schedule up to two appointments per course per day (a total of two hours of tutoring per course per day). If you need additional help, please utilize our drop-in sessions, as well as your professor’s office hours.
How do I cancel my tutoring session?

Where are the tutoring sessions held?
In person tutoring sessions are held in Savitz Hall, second floor, room 242.
Drop-in tutoring occurs in various classrooms across campus. The schedules and locations can be found here.
What if the course I need tutoring for is not listed?
To request tutoring for a course not listed, please contact us at tutoring@rowan.edu. However, please be aware that we may not be able to accommodate every request, especially upper level and new courses as well as requests made late in the semester.
What does a tutoring appointment consist of?
Tutors can help students gain a better understanding of the subject material. We highly encourage students to bring course materials such as their textbooks, notes, practice problems and any questions.

Students who may need accommodations during tutoring sessions may contact Accessibility Services for assistance.
What can I do to improve my tutoring experience?
- Let your tutor know what you want to work on during your appointment by including a comment when scheduling your appointment.
- If meeting with a tutor virtually, make sure you are in an environment conducive to learning with limited to no distractions in the background.
- Try to arrive 5 minutes early to the appointment.
- Have your textbook and notes handy. Come prepared to your appointment with questions.
Who are the tutors?
Our tutors are highly-involved undergraduate upperclassmen who have GPA of 3.0 or higher and have earned a B+ or higher in the course they are tutoring.
