Special Event Spaces
The special event spaces accommodate various event types, such as banquets, galas, lectures, and signature events. The setup and technology offered in each space vary, but is described in each section below.Please see below for a list of our Special Event space options:
Eynon Ballroom
- This room is in the original building of the Chamberlain Student Center
- There is a rental fee for the Ballroom for University Departments
- External to É«ÀÇÉçÇø clients are also charged a rental fee; however, this is through the Office of University Events
- This space comes standard with a laptop and projector screens. This room also offers an external camera with an overhead audio system (speaker & microphone), which allows for event attendees to speak clearly through online & in-person platforms.
- The Ballroom can be split into two rooms (Kitchen Side and Window Side)

Owl's Nest
- This room is in the original building of the Chamberlain Student Center
- There are three requirements for reserving the Owl’s Nest
- Reservations in the Owl’s Nest can only be in the evening as it is a full service restaurant during the day. Therefore, the space is not available until after 4pm on weekdays.
- All events hosted in this area must be utilizing Gourmet Dining catering services.
- The room setup is standard and not customizable for events. Furniture may not be moved.
- We can provide a TV screen, laptop, and audio (3 wireless microphones and 1 lapel microphone).

Prof's Place
- This room is in the original building of the Chamberlain Student Center
- There are two requirements for reserving Prof’s Place
- Reservations in Prof’s Place can only be in the evening during weekdays as it is utilized as office space during the day. Therefore, the space is not available until after 5pm Monday’s-Friday’s. This does not apply to weekends.
- There are also no custom room set-up options so no furniture can be moved, although we can provide a TV screen, laptop, and audio.

Pit
- This room is in the original building of the Chamberlain Student Center
- The Pit serves as a central lounge, gathering, and informal meeting space for the campus.
- During the academic semesters, the Pit serves as a lounge/study space Monday – Friday from 7am – 4pm. At 5pm, events can be scheduled.
- During the winter/summer breaks, the Pit is open for use during the building hours of operation.
- Food cannot be served in the Pit. If your event is catered, food must be set up outside the Marketplace on the first floor of the Student Center.
- You must have the First Floor Hallway reserved. Please contact studentcenterevents@rowan.edu to do so.
- We can provide a TV screen, laptop, and audio (3 wireless microphones and 1 lapel microphone) in this space.
- Custom - Standard (Max Capacity: depends on set up - contact SCCA staff)
- Custom - Standard with Stage (Max Capacity: depends on set up - contact SCCA staff)
- Custom - Room Clear (Max Capacity: depends on set up - contact SCCA staff)
- Maximum theater style setups will incorporate all current couches and chairs from the Pit into the setup.
G51 Student Commons
- This room is in the new expansion of the Chamberlain Student Center

- Encompasses the G51A Demonstration Area, G52 Fireplace Lounge, and G53 Amphitheater Seating

- This room is in the new expansion of the Chamberlain Student Center
