É«ÀÇÉçÇø Police Department exceeded the Joint Accreditation (CALEA and IACLEA) requirements by the Internal Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators. 

In 2011, the department was the first department at a college or university in New Jersey to earn accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies, INC. () RUPD has been reaccredited for the fourth time. 

The Accreditation program seals are reserved for use by those public safety agencies that have demonstrated compliance with Standards and have been awarded Accreditation by the Commission. 

The original Law Enforcement seal, previously recognized as the corporate logo, has a rich history that serves to honor those who contributed to the development of the accreditation process. 

The more recently developed program seals reflect this same important history and carry on the professionalism that accompanies the process. 

Distinctive in design, the program seals provide agencies with an easy-to-recognize international banner that confirms the agency’s commitment to continuous development and the professional delivery of public safety services.

Accreditation Public Comment Portal

This public portal is for receiving comments regarding an agency's compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in the service community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for accredited status. These comments can be commendations or concerns. The overall intent of the accreditation process is to provide the participating agency with information to support continuous improvement and foster the pursuit of professional excellence.

IMPORTANT: CALEA is not an investigatory body; subsequently, the public portal should not be used to submit information for such purposes. Additionally, there will be no response other than acknowledgment to submissions; however, the information will be considered in context to its relevance to compliance with standards and the tenets of CALEA® Accreditation.
