Last month, we hosted our first ever Walk Like a PROF walking break and it was a huge success! Thank you to the 25 colleagues who participated! You can check out a recap of our adventure, which includes a picture of a friendly raccoon and tips on how to improve physical and mental well-being at work from Katie Huber, Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness!
This month's walk will take place at 1:00pm on Thursday, July 25. The course is a two-mile route, with a one-mile short cut built in. Join us for either route, and remember you are always welcome to join for any portion of the walk if you might need to duck out for a meeting. We hope this gives us all an opportunity to step away from the screens, get some fresh air and have some great conversation!
We're coordinating with the new employee well-being initiative, ROWAN THRIVE. Are you participating in the 3 Month Well-Being Challenge? If so, Walk Like a PROF is an opportunity for you to grab an accountability buddy and get a few steps closer to your goals! Join us in working to promote a growth mindset, build an organizational culture of care and create an environment where we all can THRIVE!
Please see the map and itinerary below, which indicates approximate times we'll be passing key locations around campus. All are welcome (even non-Student Affairs folks) to join us for any part, or the entirety, of the course! RSVP below! (RSVP's are encouraged, but not necessary. Walk-ins are welcome!)
Walk Like a PROF Details:
1:00pm - A: Meet us on the Chamberlain Student Center patio.
1:20pm - B: Join the gang as we pass by Oak and Laurel, on our way to the Greenhouse.
1:30pm - C: Colleagues from Savitz and Science Hall can catch us for the last leg of the walk.
** yellow trail denotes two-mile loop (~45 minutes)
** green trail denotes short-cut back to the CSC patio totaling one mile (~25 minutes)
