MORE ROWAN SCHOLARSHIPS TO CONSIDER
ROWAN FOUNDATION STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIPS
- The Study Abroad Scholarship offers $1800 to help a É«ÀÇÉçÇø student from any major study abroad in any country in Fall and/or Spring. Applicants must have a minimum 3.4 GPA. Preference will be given to students who study abroad in non-English speaking countries. Click the following link to begin the application process:

- The Dr. Kenneth Baird Charlesworth Scholarship offers $3700 to help a É«ÀÇÉçÇø student from any major study in Scotland (ISA offers programs to Glasgow and Stirling and World Endeavors offers a program in Edinburgh) for Fall and/or Spring. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
DEPARTMENT OF WORLD LANGUAGES SCHOLARSHIP OFFERINGS
Eligibility:
- This scholarship is intended for full-time students enrolled in major, minor or certificate programs offered by the Department of World Languages.
- The student's overall GPA and the GPA in the language program must be at least 3.0.
- The student must have completed, or have language experience equivalent to, 4 semesters in the language of the country in which the stay will occur.
Scholarship Awarded: $500
Term: Summer, Fall and/or Spring
Eligibility:
- This scholarship is intended for Spanish Majors, Modern Languages & Linguistics Majors, Spanish Minors, and students of the Applied Spanish Program Sequence.
- The student's overall GPA must be at least 3.0.
- The student must be of Junior or Senior standing.
Term: Spring 2025
- This scholarship is intended for full-time Majors in Spanish and Modern Languages & Linguistics.
- The student's overall GPA must be at least 3.25.
- The student must be of Junior or Senior standing.
- Preference will be given to lower-income applicants with financial need
Term: Spring 2025
1. The student must be a full-time matriculated undergraduate student at É«ÀÇÉçÇø who has declared one of the three Italian programs available at É«ÀÇÉçÇø:
- Certificate of Undergraduate Study (CUGS) in Italian
- Major in Modern Languages and Linguistics (MLL) with Concentration in Italian
- Minor in Italian Studies
2. The student must have completed at least Elementary Italian II, or be enrolled in Elementary Italian II at the time of application.
3. The student must have an overall minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2. The student’s GPA in Italian courses will also be considered as a criterium of selection.
4. If the scholarship is used towards a É«ÀÇÉçÇø study abroad program to Italy, the scholarship recipient commits to write a short paper and give a talk about the travel abroad experience to the students studying Italian within the World Languages department.
5. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated financial need.
