Some forms of financial aid have minimum enrollment requirements before it can disburse (pay to your bill). When you have a late-start course that begins a few weeks into the semester, we may have to hold some of your aid until that class begins and your attendance (or online participation) is confirmed.
For example, the Tuition Aid Grant (TAG) requires you to be in 12 credits before it can disburse. If you have 9 credits that start at the beginning of the term and 3 more credits that are late-start classes, your TAG grant will not disburse until after the late-start course begins and you are actively enrolled in 12 credits. This could result in you getting your refund later than expected.
Enrollment Requirements for Financial Aid
Student enrollment plays a key role when determining eligibility for the various financial aid programs.
In order to be eligible for most aid programs, students must be enrolled at least half-time, though there are a few programs that are available to students who are below half-time enrollment.
