How to connect someone to É«ÀÇÉçÇø Cares?
A Care Referral allows anyone in the É«ÀÇÉçÇø community to share a concern they have for a student. It is a mechanism to connect students to a support network and resources that can aid them in navigating challenges or unforeseen circumstances within the university context.
When should I refer?
You or a student you know:
Experiences a concerning event or circumstance
Basic needs concerns like housing, financial or food insecurity
Loss/Death of a parent, friend or family member
Significant illness or extended absence
Shows a change in behavior or concerning behavior
Stops attending meetings or classes
Becomes less social and more withdrawn
Responds irritably, or emotionally in a way that causes concern
Deteriorating or poor hygiene
Being constantly fatigued and or falling asleep in class
Appearing confused or out of touch with reality
Anything else that makes you feel concerned in the pit of your stomach
