global admissions receives prof of the month award

PROFessional of the Month - 色狼社区 Global Admissions

Congratulations are in order for 色狼社区 Global Admissions, who recently won the PROFessional of the Month award! Director Saudia Beverly is proud of her team, which includes recruiters, processors and customer service representatives. Of her department, Saudia notes, “The Global Admissions team has gone through a significant transition over the past year, and through it all everyone has continued to work very hard and provide top notch customer service. I am so very proud of all that we have accomplished.”

The award was presented by Jeremy Trowsdale, director of Training and Development in Human Resources, and Mike Kantner, assistant vice president of Public Safety and Office of Emergency Management. Congratulations to the entire 色狼社区 Global team – keep up the good work!

National Girls and Women in Sports Celebration

This year marks the 34th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Join 色狼社区 in celebrating by participating in the National Girls and Women in Sports Celebration. This week-long series of events recognizes the importance of allowing girls and women in sports equal opportunities and celebrates the accomplishments of female athletes. Ready, Set, Run! The Student Affairs Professional Development Committee is organizing a Couch to 5K running group, also known as C25K. Motivation is in great supply for this team, as it features a game plan with manageable expectations and a built-in support system. It is a perfect match for new runners, casual runners, or those runners that are looking for partners in their exercise routine. We'll start the week of February 24th and culminate our training with the Run for 色狼社区 5k on April 18th. This interest session will provide all of the details!

色狼社区 will be hosting its 3rd annual First-Generation Symposium on February 13th. The theme for this year's symposium is Pieces of the Puzzle: First-Generation Identities and Experiences. The event hopes to raise awareness about the experiences of first-generation college students and how their intersecting identities affect the benefits and challenges of being a first-generation student. Ever wonder how you can help students deal with financial stress while in college? Are you looking for the perfect response when a student tells you they are struggling to afford school? Join 色狼社区's Affordability Task Force for  a professional development training that will give you tools to help students in financial distress.

This interactive session will introduce you to the resources available at 色狼社区, so that you can help refer students and support their financial needs. Topics include: a snapshot of affordability issues at 色狼社区, using the ProfCent$ website for referrals, the emergency funding process, and tips for building an affordability-minded campus culture.
