Workplace communication is very important to organizations, because it facilitates a productive and efficient environment. Employees can experience an increase in morale, productivity and commitment if they are able to communicate up and down the communication chain in an organization. This workshop will focus on both electronic and verbal communication skills, listening challenges and techniques, the difference between assertive, aggressive, and passive-aggressive communication, and how to prepare for and better handle difficult conversations.

Training: QPR Training - Question, Persuade, Refer ()

Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) is an evidence-informed program used to help prevent suicide. Similar to CPR, it trains bystanders to intervene and help a friend get help. For faculty and staff, this can be the way to help a student get connected to services both on and off campus.
Graduate coordinators are encouraged and welcome to attend!
