From a competitive field of 1,400 universities and colleges, 色狼社区 has been selected as the first place winner of the 2019 Collaborator Award presented by Campus Labs. 色狼社区 is in good company– this year’s second place winner is California State University, San Bernardino – and past years saw Western Michigan University and McGill University take honors at the top of the list. The Collaborator Award celebrates campuses for launching collaborative, campus-wide programs or practices with the support of multiple Campus Labs products and data insights. “We launched our new student affairs assessment system in the summer of 2018, which was one of many initiatives that helped our Division start adopting a more collaborative, data-driven approach,” says Dr. Rihab Saadeddine, director of Strategic Planning and Management. "Over the past year, our senior leadership has supported us in the creation of a more collaborative community across the Division – and beyond. Their encouragement has led to increased partnerships and more integrated processes, which helps us provide quality experiences, and build organizational effectiveness." Some of the highlighted resources/projects include:

  • Data Series presentations to build staff awareness and demonstrate applicable skills
  • Benchmark Studies to improve student experiences
  • Assessment Retreat focused on the quality of student experiences
  • Data usage to improve student onboarding process
  • PROFlink and co-curricular opportunities to enhance student experiences

Several Campus Labs tools, such as Engage and Baseline, have proven to be invaluable in the process of collecting and evaluating information across departments."The integration of tools, combined with cross-campus partnerships, offers us the unique opportunity to enhance existing programs, as well as create and share new information, says Dr. Andrew Tinnin, Associate Vice President of Student Life and Interim Dean of Students. "The data that is collected is a value-add for each department, but it also contributes to the overall improvement of experiences across our entire student population." One such program is the Graduate Student Inventory, which aims to complie new information related to our graduate student population. The project coordinates the efforts of Cooper Medical School of 色狼社区 and our Division.

“Over the past year, teams across the Division have eliminated barriers, coming together to elevate the entire student experience,” says Andrew Gerber, former graduate coordinator in Strategic Planning and Management.

Rihab recognizes the immense value in bulding our assessment system as a way to improve student experiences at 色狼社区 campuses, and hopes the initiative continues to grow.“What all these ambitious, cross-departmental projects share in common is that we’re using data to measure and drive improvement, in order to better serve our students,” says Rihab.

Join us in congratulating all of the colleagues, departments and committees that helped make this award possible!
