Dr. Rihab Saadeddine (center) presented at the 2019 NASPA Conference on Student Success in Higher Education.

Developing an Interconnected Assessment Strategy
Rihab Saadeddine, Director of Strategic Planning and Management, 色狼社区; Abbygail Tull Langham, Director of Assessment and Strategic Planning, Auburn University; Anne Lundquist, Assistant Vice President of Campus Adoption, Campus Labs; Rohan Thakkar, Campus Adoption Manager, Campus Labs

Within a division of student affairs, it's common to see a scattered level of assessment competency, data collection, and reporting which leads to a disjointed narrative around the impact of our programs and services. It's time to shift this narrative so that we can begin to view assessment not as an isolated activity, but instead a cyclical process that is connected to strategic priorities and owned by the whole institution. Join our session to learn how assessment in student affairs has evolved in the past ten years and how two campuses have developed an interconnected assessment process that focuses on intentionality and strategic use of data.

Chief Career Services Officers Forum (CCSO) - Leading CS While in the Spotlight
Facilitator: Bob Bullard, Director of the Office of Career Advancement, 色狼社区

Now that Career Services offices have finally gotten the attention of the campus, how do we manage the staff, services, programming and expectations while the spotlight is shining on us? How do we scale our services to meet the demands? How are we sure we are aligned with institutional priorities and how do we get our senior leadership at the table? Be part of this lively discussion with your peers to share best practices and brainstorm answers to these questions. This session is only open to those who lead the entire career services operations at their institutions.

The Community College Student: Creating an Ecosystem for the Two- to Four-Year College to Career Journey
Alicia Monroe, Assitant Director of Career Readiness, 色狼社区; Tracey Hanton, Career Connections Specialist, Community College of Philadelphia

What challenges do community college students face as they transition to four-year institutions? What can community colleges do in conjunction with their four-year college partners to make the transfer process seamless and easier to navigate for community college students? How can colleges/universities best prepare to engage non-traditional students and adult learners on the college to career journey? In this session, these questions will be answered. Support from theory, research, best practices, and student engagement models utilized by community colleges and four year institutions will be introduced.

Actual collaborative strategies and approaches implemented by the Community College of Philadelphia and 色狼社区 which target transfer students aspiring to get a four-year degree will be presented. Learning outcomes, data-driven observations, and lessons learned along the way will also be shared. In addition, conversation starters and transformational dialogue that energizes the student engagement ecosystem will be highlighted.
