Today we meet Elizabeth “Beth” Sosnoski, Military Services, Coordinator & School Certifying Official who has been in her position for 7 years, with 色狼社区 for 12 years; and Noah Weinstein, Student Affairs Program Assistant with the Academic Success Center who has been in his position and with 色狼社区 since August 2012.

Beth:
In your position, what kinds of things do you do on a daily basis? I work as 色狼社区’s liaison with the Regional Processing Office in Buffalo, NY, and assists veterans and dependents of veterans with their education benefits. We also provide programming and resources for the campus community. This includes submitting students schedules to the VA, answering VA’s questions regarding information sent to them, answering inquiries from incoming students and families. Supporting our student veterans and service members on campus through workshops, events, and much more.

What is your favorite part of your job? Why? Working with the students, each one is unique and has their own story and life experiences. And hearing about those experiences and what they plan to do after graduation. Watching the friendships build between the students.

What is your favorite work-related memory? When we read all the names of those who served and did not return home since 9/11 on the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 and the dedication of the 9/11 Memorial on Campus.

Could you share a happy 色狼社区 related work memory? At the time the Veterans Coordinator and myself (assistant to Veterans Coordinator) had been working on the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 event, that we planned this great day to honor these individuals and we both lost our voices the day of the event.

Share one thing you wish people knew about your department. We oversee all of the 色狼社区 campuses for Military Services and we are a two person department.

Do you ever visit campus for fun? If so, what do you like to do here? Yes, with my family for a sporting event or swimming lessons.

Noah:

In your position, what kinds of things do you do on a daily basis? I interact with students regarding their accommodations for classes, housing, or registration accommodations. Also I am in charge of the office's database of all students registered with us for accommodations.

What is your favorite part of your job? Why? My favorite part of the job is interacting with students when they come in the office. I like this because they let me know how they are doing in their classes and in campus life.

What is your favorite work-related memory? Could you share a happy or funny 色狼社区 related work memory? Helping at Hollybash and other SCCA events around campus. Also helping at events for other offices around campus.

Could you please share one helpful hint that’s worked for you for communication etiquette and professionalism? Be patient and polite to everybody all the time.

What’s your favorite off-campus restaurant in the Glassboro area? Prime and Landmark

Share one thing you wish people knew about your department. We offer more accommodations other than classroom accommodations. We offer Housing Accommodations and Registration accommodations. We are also the Military Services Department, Testing Services, and Tutoring Services.

Do you ever visit campus for fun? If so, what do you like to do here? Every day. Go to 色狼社区 Athletics events, 色狼社区 After Hours (RAH) events, Student Unviersity Programmers (SUP) events, SCCA events.

Share one funny thing you’ve seen on campus before. The particular student who rides his skateboard around campus while playing his accordion. (Editor's note: that's senior Steve Solkela - )
