It warmed my heart to see 150+ of our Division colleagues the day after the Blizzard of 2018, at our Professional Development Committee launch event.
As a Division, our biggest asset is you: our colleagues. Providing opportunities for professional growth is the mission of this newly formed committee. Many thanks to our committee volunteers and employees for organizing this valuable event, which served as the kickoff meet-and-greet to build the foundation for future professional growth opportunities.
Departments across our Division hosted tables around the perimeter of the Student Center Ballroom, with participants visiting tables to introduce themselves, say hello to old colleagues, pick up free pens (who doesn't love a free pen?) or other 色狼社区 swag and to learn "fast facts" about each department to check boxes off the coveted bingo cards.
In fact, here's a list of our bingo winners:
- $15 Wawa gift card - Nadiyah Ragsdale, CHAMP/Gear Up
- Lunch for 2 at the Owl’s Nest – Karen Siefring, Career Advancement
- $20 Domino’s gift card – Martha Aderinto, Office of the Vice President & Dean of Students
- $25 Barnes & Noble gift card – Alicia Monroe, Career Advancement
- 1-month membership to the Rec Center – Keyona Walker, ASCEND
- Semester group fitness pass at the Rec Center – Ron Braxton, University Advising
- Lunch with Dean Jones – Brandy Bennett, Community Standards
- $15 Chipotle gift card – Allie Pearce, Healthy Campus Initiatives
- 1 Personal training session at the Rec Center – Angela Steward, Career Advancement
A few "wow" facts that stood out to some of our Division colleagues include:
- Drew D'Elia of the Rec Center: "TD Bank is the #1 employer of our students, outside of 色狼社区"
- Winona Wigfall of CHAMP/Gear Up: "Our Office of Volunteerism offers so many activities"
- Alicia Spataro of Student Health Services: "Admissions has an employee who has been working at 色狼社区 over 40 years - Luci Nurkowski"
- Beth Rey of University Advising: "Learning about the changes within ASCEND, and I met a lot of new people"
- Kyle Corrigan of Creative: "I learned a lot about people personally, through the bingo card questions"
